Meeting minutes for March 27, 2008



Harley called the meeting to order on March 27, 2008 at Johnson Sales in Arlington.
Clubs Present: Arlington, Cambria, Columbus Fall River, Doylestown, Randolph, Rocky Run, Winnebago, Yellow Thunder
Clubs absent: New Haven, Camper Country
MMS&C to approve the secretary’s report from February 28, 2008
MMS&C to approve the treasurer’s report stating a balance of $10868.65 as of 3-27-08
Trevor Levey-our youth rep-gave a good report on the Wausau convention
Deb Levey gave the directors and convention report, some of the highlights include:
User fee bill stalled so no raise for out of state trail fees for now
Clubs to let Deb know if directors list should be in every AWSC magazine
Any snowmobile instructors let Deb know if she can publish their names on the AWSC website
A big thank you to Greg for the trail condition and updates this year-Job well done
MMS&C to donate up to $300 for the summer directors meeting
Steve Pate-our county historian-proposed a county historical site on some land owned by the Winn. Ridge Runners to remember and honor the contributors to Columbia County’s past
MMS&C for CCASC to commit $1500 towards the cost of construction at this time
Al Kaltenberg: New trail applications should be submitted now, maint. packs due 6-1-08
Checks for expenses after 7-1-08 can be put on next years expenses
Old Business: need trail contacts for snowed in roads near Rio, Pardeeville, Poynette areas
Scholarship apps should be submitted a.s.a.p.
Need map ads in a.s.a.p., 9-25-08 is the drop dead date
New Business: Make sure all railroad crossings are clear of ice and snow on top of the rails
Election results-John Falter won election over Harley Woodward 10-5 for President
Harley Woodward was elected Vice-President, Peggy Benson was elected Treasurer, Gary Schoppenhorst was reelected Secretary
Upcoming events: Arlington club dance on 4-5-08 at Hookers
Rocky Run poker run turn in books by 5:00pm on 3-29-08 at Becks on the Water
Johnson Sales hosting Yamafest at Cascade Mountain hillcross races March 29 & 30, 9-4pm
August meeting and meal (8-23-08) is at the Falter’s-dish to pass-meeting at 4:00 meal to follow and directions will be forth coming over the summer

MMS&C to adjourn at 9:19pm
