CCASC Meeting Minutes January 23, 2014 Otsego Yacht Club The meeting was called to order by President Mike Levey. 8 clubs were present with New Haven and Camper Country being absent. MMSP to approve the minutes from the December 19, 2013 meeting as written. MMSP to approve the financial report as presented showing an ending balance of $5499.88. New Haven club has not yet paid Columbia County dues. The Director’s Report was given by John Brozek. • He attended the Dane County Association meeting. Here are the highlights: o All clubs should be incorporated o Purchase of groomers are exempt from sales tax o $600 payments need to have 1099s o February 1, 2014 is the Dane County Easter Seals Ride • He also attended the Directors’ Meeting on January 11, 2014 at Comfort Inn in DeForest. o The AWSC was audited by the Gaming Commission. The AWSC will not hold any more club assisted raffles. They reminded clubs to check on their raffle licenses. Also the AWSC needs to establish a mission statement. o The Polaris Trail Map app was discussed. They are looking for people to help get more trails GPS mapped. o Lake States Resources will be holding their raffle again. o CAP/STEP is progressing. It is going to the Joint Finance Committee for approval. o AWSC Convention will be held in Green Bay. They are planning a bus trip to Lambeau Field. o Election of Officers will be held at AWSC Convention at Hyatt in Green Bay March 28-30, 2014. President Doug Johnson does not plan to run again. Randy Anhalt reported that Destiny has not received any information for Youth Representative. NEW BUSINESS AWSC Fall Workshop will be held October 31 – November 2, 2014 at Chula Vista in Wisconsin Dells. Discussion was held in regards to running a Hospitality Room. Clubs are asked to discuss at their meetings to see if there is interest and help in doing this. MMSP to reserve a room for a Hospitality Room. Norrie Brozek will call for reservation. She will also check into our raffle license status. There is $4500 available in AWSC Scholarships available this year. A $500 Continuing Education Scholarship is new for this year for student with two years of higher education. All scholarship applications must me postmarked by February 3, 2014. MMSP to keep our AWSC Director as John Brozek and AWSC Representative as Deb Levey. MMSP to buy $100 of Lake States Resources Raffle Tickets. Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, February 27, 0214 at Kelly’s Bar in Randolph at 7:30pm. They are located at W11794 Concord Road, Randolph. UP-COMING EVENTS Saturday, January 25, 2014 – Waunakee Beef Feed Sunday, January 26, 2014 – Pancake Breakfast at Casino Supper Club, Doylestown 8:30am-12:30pm Tuesday, January 28, 2014 – White Elephant at Kelly’s Bar 7:30pm (proceeds to local food pantries) Saturday, February 8, 2014 – Meat Raffle at Big Willy’s in Portage 1-4pm Sunday, February 9, 2014 – Pancake Breakfast at Pardeeville High School 8am-noon Sunday, June, 29, 2014 – Pancake Breakfast at Silver Springs Campground, Rio Sunday, July 27, 2014 – Pancake Breakfast at Silver Springs Campground, Rio Meeting adjourned.
