At the Last Meeting: There is currently no trail between Wyocena and Rio due to land and permission disputes. Although there may be some signs up please do not try to ride it as this may cause the trail to be lost permanently. Scholarships are due March 31st. The application and information can be found on AWSC.org A new trail has been added to the north side of Portage. From the corner of CX and 51, crossing on the north side of the intersection, into the KFC/Super 8 parking lot. We are welcome to use this as parking for eating or staying at Super 8. From there, the trail crosses CX heading south past Kwik Trip, along the frontage road for 3 blocks. At the end of the 3 blocks there is an area to park and take advantage of the many restaurants located right there. Obey city speed limits and traffic laws as well as the well-marked route signs. Respect for this trail and the hard work that went into it is important in keeping this trail and opening new opportunities for us. A huge thank you to Gary Schoppenhorst for all of his time and effort in helping us to get this trail! Our Club Ride will be February 7th - 9th. We have room blocks set at both Wittenburg and Medford. We are suggesting that members interested in attending book a room at each and we will decide the final location based on snow, at the February meeting. Wittenburg – Best Western – 715-253-3755 - $89/night +taxes Medford – Boarders Inn and Suites - 715-748-2330 – $114.90or$119.90/night +taxes (price depends on room style) The Summer Picnic will be July 18th at Sunset Park in Portage Our next meeting is February 3rd at 7:30 at the Ballroom in Portage.
